A BRIEF SKETCH OF AN ARTIST: The Spanish Artist Teresa Escudero reflects her enigmatic personal world in her unique jewelry creations. Her compelling pieces are rooted in concepts of geometry, mythology, and evolution. Much of her work has a dreamlike or oneiric quality and she is inspired by what she interprets as the shapes and “vibrations of the universe” in her development of unusual forms. Escudero juxtaposes and combines an exciting range of materials - metallic meteorites, carved precious stones, both rare and rough gems, exotic woods, natural pearls, fire enamel on gold, and rock crystal. 

Teresa Escudero holds a bachelor’s degree in History and Prehistory from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Her first pieces were exhibited in 2019 at the Malvin Art Gallery in Madrid. She was asked by The Spanish Institute of Gemology to lecture about “Meteorites in Royal Jewelry of Ancient Civilizations”. She also has been awarded the UKLuxLife Global Excellence Awards 2020 and 2021 for Fine Handcrafted Jewelry and Artistic Jewelry, respectively. In May 2023, she was selected by the prestigious Gem Geneva Jewelry Show organization as an important "emerging talent”.
