This gorgeous, polished malachite specimen comes from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It's a stunning, "A-Quality" piece and would be a wonderful gift for mineral-lovers! Malachite is a bright and dark green banded copper carbonate mineral Cu2CO3(OH)2.

From antiquity and until recent times, malachite has been prized as a decorative stone, gemstone, and was even used as a pigment.

The specimen measures 3.83" long (max) and 2.25" high (max). Weighs 1.89 lbs (857 grams)
